What better way to spend your time after school for two hours than learning and playing chess? This is what 19 students at Kimball Hill School would tell you, they had choices of many activities this day for an after school festival of events and these children chose chess. All the students were actively engaged for the whole two hours, and had a lot of fun. Many of them didn't know how to play chess and left with enthusiasm for the game, the students that knew how to play learned some new strategies and played in their first simul with their expert teacher. One student was amazed and said, " I never saw any one play this many people, he must be a genius !".  As the parents came to pick up their children there was a lot of laughter, talk about chess, and thanking the teachers for the great workshop.
